Fancy Breaking a Record on Your Fishing Holiday?

Fishing Holidays in the UK can be excellent fun, it’s a time to relax and enjoy yourself by a peaceful river, lake or stream and then pop back to your fishing holiday park where you can have a relaxed evening with friends or family.

However we have come across this world record we thought you might want to try breaking. It would certainly add a little something extra. Especially if you are already the champion of the caravan fishing holidays, always catching the most or biggest fish this would be a new challenge for you!

The record is currently held by a man called Doug McManaman; he is from Nova Scotia and only recently won the record on 16th August. The record he broke was by balancing a fishing buoy on his thumb for two minutes and twenty-four seconds.

Do you and your fishing friends want to take this challenge on? If so you need to use a fishing buoy that is on top of a fourteen inch buoy and weighs at least five pounds. You then need to get your friends to record it and see if you can beat that time.

It’s a little challenge you can have in the evening when the fishing day is over.
