Maintaining Your Static Caravan

Maintenance of static caravans is highly crucial. Since static caravans are highly valuable you cannot just let them rest in the caravan park for months and months without running maintenance checks. Many people skip the static caravan maintenance after taking their luxury caravan holidays because they think the process is too difficult. However, it is anything but difficult. Here is how you can maintain your static caravan without any trouble.

Gas and Electric Maintenance

The first thing you need to run the maintenance check on is the gas and electric supplies of the caravan. Gas and electric maintenance should be done in order to avoid fire breakouts and caravan heat-ups. Check the central heating system, electric wires and gas supplies in order to make sure that everything is perfectly operating.

Exterior Maintenance

Next is exterior maintenance. It involves a lot of measures. First off, you have to check for any breakages and holes in the caravan’s body. Wherever you find a breakage, use filler materials to fill the gaps and other repairing solutions to get the job done. Once you are done with the fixations, repaint the caravan to hide the repairs.

Guttering

Another important area that requires your attention is the caravan gutters. In order to clean up the gutters and take away the blockages, you would have to remove any leaves and debris from the gutters. This will allow the water to easily pass through the pipes and as a result, you wouldn’t have to face a situation when dirty water stands in the caravan during the luxury caravan holidays.

Once you have taken care of all the things we mentioned above, finish up the maintenance process by anchoring your static caravan. Anchoring is one of the most important things to do because high winds in the autumn and winter can cause the static caravan to flip over. Once you have done anchoring the caravan, you are done with the maintenance of your static caravan.
